Attorney Shannon Sorensen Volunteers with Local Women at ACCESS
Shannon Sorensen, an Attorney and Partner at Smith Godios Sorensen Inc., hosted a class last week at the ACCESS shelter in Akron, Ohio. Attorney Sorensen has hosted such classes at the ACCESS shelter a number of times and always enjoys her time there. A visit to ACCESS is always a great reminder of all the important work this organization does in the Akron community. Last week’s class focused on a few areas of law, including Social Security Disability, Supplemental Security Income, and bankruptcy. The attorneys at Smith Godios Sorensen Inc. are always happy to help out at ACCESS because they do so much to address the needs of homeless women and children in our area. Given the lengthy wait-time many face when trying to obtain Social Security Disability and/or Supplemental Security Income, it is common for claimants to face issues such as homelessness, eviction, foreclosure, and bankruptcy.
